In 1999 (and again in 2001) there was a competition for people to create bots to play RoShamBo, otherwise know as [Rock-paper-scissors](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rock–paper–scissors). The bot that won this competition, beating all the other entries including the competition-provided dummy bots, was called Iocaine Powder.

Let's explore approaches and techniques used to build a successful RoShamBo bot.
