Young children are growing up highly surrounded by technology without knowing what's behind it. How do we spark their curiosity and introduce them to the world of technology to not only use it as consumers but to start seeing themselves as creators?

In this workshop, you'll get to know Zerus and Ona, a 0 and a 1, living inside your computer and sharing their adventures in The Binary World. Along with Miriam, you'll create a new story from scratch that will inspire every child to learn more about technology and start gaining superpowers.

00:06:51.680 message that i received last year while i was attending the we are tech women conference in the uk and at that after i
00:06:58.319 introduced myself a dad came to me and he said okay medium this is great but i have a six year old girl who i'd love to
00:07:05.440 get more into stem science technology engineering and mathematics but you know what she already sees technology as a
00:07:12.000 boy thing and six years old that's really early
00:07:17.120 right this made me think of the time when i was little because i was that same girl
00:07:25.520 my dad always wanted me to go into computer science and he used to say miriam is the future miriam is the
00:07:30.880 future and well i didn't listen right and now we know he was right and that i
00:07:38.240 completely missed the point so instead i went to college and studied
00:07:43.440 architecture it was around my 30s that i started to get interested in technology and i told
00:07:50.319 myself how to code ever since i've worked in different countries around europe as a software
00:07:56.639 developer and also as a programming teacher and with my classes i've taught hundreds
00:08:03.840 of students how to switch their careers into tech as i did myself

00:08:18.000 i started thinking about how i'd like to introduce him to the world of technology
